Meet Our Team Members

Lead Pastor

Joe Shutts

As the founding Pastor of New Freedom Church, Joe Shutts has a dual passion to reach the unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple believers in all aspects of their Christian walk. After graduating from Lebanon High School in 1997, he enrolled at Valor Christian College in Columbus, Ohio where he earned a diploma in Pastoral Leadership. Joe also holds a B.A. in Leadership & Ministry from Ohio Christian University and a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University.

Worship Pastor and Ministries Director

Rick Allen

Pastor Rick has been a multi-genre & multi-instrument musician since 1997 & has been leading worship since 2003. Some of his favorite things are cold and snowy weather and making people laugh. His love for his Wife Amanda, daughter Mackenzie, son Jackson, & his dog Colt knows no bounds.

Care Pastor

Tom Allen

Pastor Tom, Care Pastor at New Freedom Church, enjoys various roles, including coffee. A Springboro High School alum, he holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology, Columbus, Georgia, and an Advanced Christian Counseling certificate. Married to Susan for 40 years, they have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and grandson Cameron (Doodle Bug). Passionate about his faith and building community relationships, Tom is often fishing with Cameron and his dog Maisy. His service background includes being a Firefighter, Paramedic, and U.S. Army Soldier.

Faith Smith

Faith is our kids ministry leader with over two decades of experience in children’s ministry. She has an Associate’s Degree in Theology from Life Christian Bible Institute, her passion for sharing the love of Jesus with the children here at NFC is second to none. Aside from being a great leader in the kingdom, her heart shines in her everyday life as she is one of the funnest people to be around & can bring a smile to any bad day.

Tech/Media Director

Mike Rosser

Mike is a devoted follower of Christ, dedicated husband to Beverly Rosser, proud father of two sons & two wonderful daughter-in-laws as well as proud grandpa. Embracing my love for all things technical while wholeheartedly serving the Lord with the gifts he has been blessed with. Coordinating all aspects of media with our volunteers for the kingdom each and every Sunday.
